GROUND AUTONOMY

AI-defined unmanned ground vehicles

Today’s unmanned ground vehicles must evolve to meet future requirements. They need to be modular and scalable, with open interfaces and the ability to operate autonomously and coordinate in swarms. Capabilities need to grow with new requirements.

01.

Design is battle-proven in Ukraine.

Deployed in real-world missions in Ukraine and not just tested in prototypes or lab environments.

02.

AI-defined from the ground up.

Physical AI built for modern defense with the end-to-end Apex Autonomy stack.

03.

Modular and scalable.

Base vehicle and AI kit are integrated but modular. Our AI already runs on several UGV platforms—including, but far beyond, the vehicles we build ourselves.

OPERATIONAL OUTCOMES

Capabilities

01.

Autonomous navigation

Under the supervision of an operator, the UGV follows a previously scanned and mapped route

02.

Communication resilience

The vehicle continues along its mapped route even if communication—for instance, via Starlink—is lost.

03.

Reduced operator burden

AI decreases the need for manual control, allowing the operator to focus on potential threats.

04.

Operation at higher speed

Autonomous driving enables missions at speeds where manual control would be impossible, such as 50 km/h.

MODULARITY

AI-defined autonomy on existing systems and architectures

Our AI already runs on different UGV platforms—including, but far beyond, the vehicles we build ourselves.

We have developed a set of reusable software building blocks for Physical AI and autonomous driving. In line with MOSA principles, our approach is modular, open, and designed to scale. We can combine these existing building blocks to meet different vehicle and mission requirements, quickly putting together the software a particular application needs. Each deployment builds on work we have already done.

This gives our partners something important: choice.

They can select the hardware that fits their needs while using our AI and autonomous-driving software across different UGVs. They do not have to depend on a single vehicle manufacturer—including Apex.AI.

We develop our own vehicles, and we also want our software to make other manufacturers’ vehicles more capable. Both are central to what we are building.

Our ambition goes beyond delivering an individual autonomous vehicle. It is to give our partners a reusable software foundation beyond vehicles that can evolve with their needs, support different platforms, and help them bring new capabilities into use faster. The mission should determine the hardware. Our software gives people the freedom to choose.

AI DEFINED AUTONOMY

Capabilities need to grow with new requirements.

We constantly retrain our AI with new data to update and upgrade the capabilities.
