Apex.OS 25-08 combines smarter developer tools with agricultural ISOBUS support, proving its adaptability across industries.

In every release of Apex.OS, we aim to reduce friction for developers and extend the reach of our technology into new domains. The 25-08 release continues that mission with a focus on usability improvements and new industry connectors that enable Apex.OS to integrate seamlessly into customer workflows.

Smarter usability, less friction

Developers working in autonomy and robotics know the daily reality: debugging distributed systems at scale is as much about observability and configurability as it is about code. In this release, Apex.OS introduces a set of usability features that make these tasks more intuitive:

  • Quality of Service (QoS) overrides at runtime – Adjust QoS settings without recompilation, giving developers the flexibility to experiment and optimize on the fly

  • QoS introspection tools – Understand exactly how your system is configured and behaving, with deeper visibility into publishers, subscribers, and resource limits.

  • CLI improvements – New controls allow setting resource limits on topic queries, making the developer loop tighter and safer

Together, these improvements reduce trial-and-error debugging attempts and empower developers to quickly identify and resolve issues across complex systems.

Expanding into agriculture: ISOBUS Connector

Apex.OS is increasingly being deployed in industries beyond passenger vehicles. One of the highlights of 25-08 is the new ISOBUS Connector, built for agricultural customers who rely on ISOBUS as the standard for tractor–implement communication.

By integrating ISOBUS directly into Apex.OS through our flexible connector framework, developers can now:

  • Interface seamlessly with existing ISOBUS-based equipment

  • Reduce integration effort by reusing standardized communication patterns

  • Leverage code generation for developing ISOBUS interfaces for new implements

The ISOBUS Connector is another proof point for Apex.OS as a domain-independent, safety-ready middleware that adapts to customer ecosystems instead of forcing a greenfield start. The new connector helps accelerate the adoption of Apex.OS in off-road autonomy and precision agriculture.

The smaller changes that matter

Not every change is headline-worthy, but they all add up to a smoother developer experience. This release also includes:

  • Updated QNX support from version 7 to version 8

  • A Bazelized version of the Foxglove Studio bridge, making the launching of it from a Bazel workspace more of a reaction than a thought

  • A new UDS Tester Client for those working with our automotive diagnostics tools

These smaller updates ensure that Apex.OS continues to fit naturally into modern toolchains and environments.

Building the future of Apex.OS

The 25-08 release makes Apex.OS more usable, more observable, and more adaptable to industry-specific protocols. Whether you’re building next-gen autonomy for road vehicles, agricultural machines, or other smart machines, these updates are designed to save you time and accelerate your path from prototype to production.
