About the Event
Join us for the next Autonomy Meetup on Tuesday, November 17 at 10 am Pacific Time. Panelists Dr. Daniel Watzenig (Virtual Vehicle Research), Chip Pankow (Roborace), Markus Schratter (Autonomous Racing Graz) with moderation by Sanjay Krishnan (VP of Product, Apex.AI) will discuss the tech stack in autonomous racing!
Autonomous racing is an evolving new sport and is an emerging technology that is rapidly increasing. A number of events and series have launched, including the pioneering international series Roborace (launched in 2017, Season Alpha), the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) 2021 as well as a number of student competitions, such as Formula Student Driverless. The overall goal of autonomous racing is to push the limits of autonomy through performance and precision by demonstrating safety, security, and reliability of connected and automated vehicles at the edge, i.e. at high speeds, high dynamics, and adverse weather conditions.
This virtual meet-up will cover the introduction of the Roborace format and technology along with an overview of technical autonomous racing advances.
