Panelists Dr. Jameson Wetmore,  Arizona State University, and Dr. Jan Becker, CEO and Founder of Apex.AI and Professor at Stanford University, discuss the past, present, and future of the animated world.

Dr. Jameson Wetmore is an associate professor in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and co-director of the Center for Engagement and Training in Science and Society at Arizona State University.  He also wrote “Driving The Dream,” a compilation piece that looks back at 80 years of vision of automated vehicles. Dr. Jan Becker is President, CEO, and Co-Founder of Apex.AI, Inc. Dr. Becker has been a Lecturer at Stanford University for autonomous vehicles and driver assistance since 2010. Dr. Becker has written several blog posts on the history and future of automated vehicles.

The conversation covers what we have learned from the past and how we can use it for future understanding and improvement of the autonomous world. The panel will exchange views on the motivation of autonomous vehicles, the timing, and progress in its current state, and what they predict will be the next phase in innovation.
